Most of us know how to install/apply the HotFix to Informatica Environment but only few know how to roll back it. Indeed it’s sometime needed to roll back whenever the applied HotFix is not behaving the way it’s supposed to perform. In order to rollback you need to have the respective HotFix software dump file on your server machine. Ensure to unset the environment variables ($INFA_HOME, $PATH, $LD_LIBRARY_PATH, $INFA_DOMAIN_FILE, $JAVA_HOME) before you proceed with the rollback otherwise the rollback script will prompt for asking to unset the environment variables & fail in the middle. In my case I was needed to roll back the HF4 applied on Informatica 9.5.1.
- Get the respective Hot Fix Software dump.

Un tar the software dump

- Execute the install_hf.bin file located on the Server directory . Follow the below screens in the middle it’s prompts to enter for below options select the option 2 Roll back the hotfix.
1->Apply the hotfix..
2->Roll back the hotfix.

Installation requires 7 GB of available disk space and additional space for the existing folders and the INFA_SHARED and java directories.
Rollback Prerequisites
