Business Intelligence Corner: Analyst Service : The status of the upgrade cannot be determined

Analyst service is a main service where “Business Glossary” is created & can be accessible, Analyst service is used for analyzing the business logic & structured data in the organization. Some of the times we encounter slowness, low response or the analyst service going to unavailable status throwing the unusual errors. We recently upgraded the Informatica environment to 10.x & received the below error even after upgrading it.

We used the below command line to upgrade the "Business Glossary" in "Analyst Service"

$INFA_HOME/isp/bin/infacmd.sh bg upgradeRepository -dn Domain_INFA -un Admin -pd Admin -sdn Native -atn "Analyst_Service"

In order to overcome these error we need to bring down the Analyst Service & Re-deploy the analyst service folders in the below directories. We need to delete the below sub folders in the following directories, Make sure not to delete any of the war files under these directories. Once you're done removing the below sub folders enable the Analyst Service, You would be able to see the below sub folder redeployed.

$INFA_HOME/services/AnalystService/

analyst_help_ja

mappingspec
